From the recording Girl
Those of you who are Brady Bunch fans will remember this song. Marcia Brady visited Davy Jones in a recording studio to convince him to sing at her prom. Davy was singing this song.
This song was originally written by Charles Fox and Norman Gimbel and was recorded by Davy Jones in 1971. The song appeared on the Brady Bunch episode "Getting Davy Jones" in 1971, in the movie "Star Spangled Girl" in 1971, and again in "The Brady Bunch Movie" in 1995.
Davy Jones was also the lead singer of The Monkees and recently passed away in 2012. We will miss him.
Girl, look what you've done to meMe, and my whole worldGirl, you brought the sun to meWith your smile, you did it girl
I'm telling you girl, something unknown to meMakes you what you areAnd what you are is all I could ask for meAnd its good to feel that way girl
Thank you girl, for making the morning brighterGirl for making the night time nicerGirl for making a better world for me
I'm telling you girl, something unknown to meMakes you what you areAnd what you are is all I could ask for meAnd its good to feel that way girl
Thank you girl, for making the morning brighterGirl for making the night time nicerGirl for making a better world for me
Thank you girl, for making the winter warmerGirl for making the music softerGirl for making a better world for me
Thank you girl
